Yes. The editor runs in your browser, so it works on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebooks without Office.
Can I create a new spreadsheet?
Yes. Choose Start a blank sheet, type your data, add more sheets if you need them, and download the workbook as .xlsx.
Are formulas and formatting kept when I download?
No. The download saves the values you see in every sheet. Formulas, cell formatting, and merged cells are not kept, so keep the original file if you need them.
Which file types can I edit?
